MEMBERSHIP AND EVENTS

MEMBERSHIP

Once a person has caught a Shark of qualifying size ( as explained on the History page) they can become a member of the club.

The joining fee for membership of the club is £20.00 which includes a subscription of £15 for the current year.

Once an application for membership has been received the person applying for membership would be issued with a certificate, membership card, rule book and lapel badge.

As a member the person would receive newsletters and be entitled to compete for the clubs Trophies annually and enter the Annual Shark Fishing Festival at Looe Cornwall.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

In January 2004 the club introduced associate membership which is available to anyone catching a shark under the qualifying size. (Associate members still need to catch a shark of qualifying size to become a full member.)

The joining fee for associate membership is £15.00 which includes £10.00 for the current years’ subscription.

Once an application for membership has been received the person applying for an associate membership will be issued with a certificate, membership card, rule book and lapel badge.

Only fully paid up members can compete for the clubs trophies.

We have club merchandise (sweatshirts etc) available for full and associate members.

2009 Dinner and Trophy Presentation
To be held at the Portbyhan Hotel, West Looe, Cornwall on 23rd October 2009

2010 Shark Angling Festival
Is to be held Wednesday 14th, Thursday 15th & Friday 16th July 2010

2010 2 day Reef Fishing Competition
Is to be held Saturday 15th May & Sunday 16th May 2010 – This competition is open to non members of the club.
